Exciting new after school activities are being held at the Emerald Library from Monday 27 February. Kira Nuss, one of Emerald’s treasured Library Officers is hosting the fully supervised sessions, with different activities every afternoon.

The activities are suitable for ages 8-13 years (primary school). All you need to do is sign in and out on the whiteboard.

When | Every weekday afternoon (excluding public holidays)

Time | 3.00pm – 5.00pm

Where | Back room of the Emerald Library, 44 Borilla Street.

The weekly activities are as follows:

Monday | Study – the library will sponsor one hour of free internet for students to access Yourtutor online for homework assistance

Tuesday | Board games

Wednesday | X-Box races

Thursday | Board games

Friday | Catch a movie

The library has already received positive feedback from those who attended the first afternoon of activities. They really enjoyed the space, activities and the idea of something ‘just for them’.

Weekly Activities for the Little Ones

The Emerald library also has weekly activities for the little ones called KIDS TIME, which is suitable for children between ages 0-5 years. KIDS TIME is every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday morning from 10.30am – 11.30am. They read stories, sing songs, have a little dance then do craft activities. There is a different theme every week.

Daddy's Time at the Emerald Library

The Emerald Library is introducing a session especially for Dad’s and their kids. They can come along and enjoy story time together, followed by some craft activities. The first session will be held on Saturday 24 March, 9.30am – 10.30am at the Emerald Library. Children under 5 years and Dad's of all ages welcome.
